University Digital Ordinance (HDVO)
The University Digital Ordinance (HDVO) has been in force at the University of Wuppertal since the summer semester 2024. The ordinance contains regulations on digital teaching and digital examinations. Digital teaching must be approved in advance by the Faculty Council and Academic Advisory Board. The resolutions are published on this website. According to the HDVO, face-to-face teaching whose teaching share of digital teaching amounts to 25% or more of the SWS is also considered digital teaching.

Current decisions within the faculty
Digital oral examinations
In accordance with the HDVO, official notification 03 dated 26.01.2024 and official notification 04 dated 29.01.2024, the Faculty Council decided the following on 03.07.2024 with the approval of the Academic Advisory Board: If students cannot be present due to their studies or chronic illness, an oral examination that is generally held in person can also be held digitally at the decision of the Examination Board.
This decision is limited in time until 31.03.25.
