Graduation ceremony 2025 on 7 November 2025 in lecture hall 33
The graduation ceremony will take place in lecture hall 33 and the foyer of building K.
Programme
3:30 pm Admission (possibility to have a photo taken in the gown)
4:30 pm Photo session (group photo of all graduates)
4:40 pm Photo session (group photo of the award winners)
5:00 pm Start of the Event
Opening remarks by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Francesco Knechtli, and the Rector, Prof. Dr. Birgitta Wolff
Our guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Hanno Gottschalk, TU Berlin, will deliver the keynote lecture entitled “Generatives Design – Wie man mit KI nützliche Dinge erschafft”
This will be followed by the recognition of graduates and the presentation of the BarmeniaGothaer Mathematics Awards, as well as several other prizes.

Important information about the Graduation Ceremony
As part of the graduation ceremony, all participating graduates will be called up individually by name.
To ensure that the ceremony runs smoothly, we kindly ask you to check in advance which group you have been assigned to.

Getting Here and Parking
If you are arriving by car, you can park in Car Park A or C (see Grifflenberg Campus Map). Both car parks will remain open until 10:30 p.m.
Unable to Attend or Last-Minute Cancellation
If you fall ill or are unable to attend for any other reason at short notice, please send a brief email to alumnifk4[at]uni-wuppertal.de so that we can remove your name from the list of participants.
FAQ
You can bring up to two guests to the graduation ceremony.
As a graduate, you will receive a complimentary ticket in the "Flanierkarte" (promenade ticket) category for the University Ball in the evening as a gift when you attend the graduation ceremony taking place during the day.
When registering for the graduation ceremony, please indicate whether you would like to receive your complimentary ticket for the University Ball. Your ticket will then be reserved for you. Reservations cannot be made through any other channel.
At a later date (expected in October), you will receive an email with further information and an access code that you can use to activate your complimentary ticket.
If you do not attend the graduation ceremony, or fail to show up despite having registered, you will no longer be entitled to your complimentary ticket. Any tickets that have already been activated will also be cancelled.
The complimentary ticket is personalized and therefore cannot be transferred to another person.
If you claim your complimentary ticket, you will also have the opportunity to purchase additional promenade tickets ("Flanierkarten") from the guest ticket allocation. By reserving your complimentary ticket, you will automatically receive an email with access to the guest ticket shop.
The guest ticket allocation includes only tickets in the "Flanierkarte" (promenade ticket) category (€37 per ticket plus advance booking fees) and is limited. Each graduate may purchase a maximum of two additional guest tickets, subject to availability and while supplies last.
If you do not attend the graduation ceremony or fail to show up despite having registered, you will no longer be entitled to your complimentary ticket. Any complimentary tickets that have already been activated will be cancelled.
