Information on Teaching and Exams

Digital Teaching Summer Term 2020


All study programmes of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal will start officially on 20 April, 2020 as part of “Uni@Home” and so as digital distance studying technique.

Information on CSiS lectures and courses is available on Wusel and under the respective Moodle courses. Please go to the Moodle platform and register for all classes of your summer term timetable. Once you are registered your professors and tutors will exchange all relevant course information with you.

It is the aim of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal to set up exams for all programme modules that will take place in summer term 2020 – even if the courses will be partly or completely held with a “Uni@Home” approach. The necessary regulations are currently in the making. More details will follow soon.



Note on Postponed Exams from Winter Term 2019/20


With regard to the current exceptional circumstances due to the Corona virus pandemic the following examination procedure has been agreed upon within the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences:

1.Catching up of postponed written examinations: To limit the loss of time at the beginning of the on-campus semester re-start after the pandemic break, the first week of the re-started on-campus lecturing summer term will be used only for having done all postponed written examinations from winter term. Thus, the regular lecturing timetable will become effective in week 2 after the on-campus re-start. A date for the on-campus re-start has not been defined yetThe lecture start of summer term as part of Uni@Home” is: 20th April, 2020. For updates on the CSIS timetable please go under Timetables.

2.Catching up of postponed oral examinations: students should contact the respective professor in charge by e-mail to agree upon a prompt oral examination date ideally before end of winter term. The usage of digital media should be considered and taken advantage of if applicable.


3.Hardship cases: Upon request by the respective examinee hardship cases - in particular final exams before graduation - will be decided by the chairman of the examinations board (Email: knechtli{at} in accordance with the respective QSL-person: (saskia.faulmann{at} The faculty advises to act in a pragmatic and constructive way on behalf of the examinee.
